The knowledge of real needs of employers will help universities to adapt the contents and methods of education process so, that it will give to absolvents better chance at labour market. It has been asked 400 employers, 22,4 % of investigation tickets returned. Information was worked up by use of statistic methods. The uncertain reality is possible to sum up on following points: 1/ The agricultural branches' study has its main, because 1/3 of businesses will in next five years need agricultural line university absolvent and 1/3 businesses will need economic or business specialist with knowledge of agricultural problematic. 2/ Emphasis is placed on special knowledge of agricultural specialists. Other personal characteristics are not accented too much. 3/ On accepting the applicant the personal and family contacts are preferred. 4/ It is necessary German language (or German and English language) knowledge, on medium level - it means to make oneself understood. 5/ The knowledge of PC work with Word is necessary. The requirement for knowledge of Internet work is also common. 6/ It is necessary to extend contacts among university and potential employers. The agriculture of Belgium achieved the highest efficiency of the yields of dry matter of plants from ha agricultural area (100 %). then followed Germany (79,95 %) and France (73,35 %). Czech Republic was on the last place. The data were missing for expression of efficiency of agricultural systems of Denmark and Holland. The analysis confirmed the critical state of agricultural system of Czech Republic. The efficiency of Czech Republic is very low in the frame of comparison with evaluated countries. The low volume of active carbon and its deficit for current production of cereals is not very advantageous in the view of the next development of agricultural system. This state demands the responsible restructuring of Czech agriculture namely in the relation with its ability of competition in the period before and after entry to EC. The offer of the goods in the shops depends on the chosen strategy. The shop of Penny Market offered only 3 kinds of ketchups, especially in lower prices. On the contrary, the shop of Meinl offered 50 kinds of ketchups in middle and higher price category. In the 1 of searching shops there were mainly products of 4 - 5 main producers: Spak, Hame, Kand, Otma, Heinz, Felix. Part of the others was not so important. Concerning the offered kinds - the most important was hot ketchup and mild (63%). Comparison of prices for 100 g ketchup showed, that the cheapest kind had been ,,delicious", while the kind of ,,normal" belonged to the more expensive products. Most of ketchups was sold in the glass wrappers (94%), the rest (6%) in the plastic wrappers. The knowledge of quantity of the specific product at the market is the main condition for any work at the market. The determination of the market potential is one of the main operations of the market analysis. The data that are necessary for the calculation of the quantity of market potential by questionnaires were obtained during 1998. The informants were chosen by the quota selection and their age and sex structure should correspond to Czech Republic age and sex structure. People from 10 to 84 year old were asked. Four hundred of informants took place in the research. Obtained dates helped to calculate the cut flower market potential, in the Czech Republic amounted 4 170 609 090 crowns in 1998. Because of multifunctional character of agriculture, type of farm must be valuated from different views, according to different criteria. The multi criteria decision making among various types of farm is illustrated by a model farm in a mountainous area. The task has been solved from an economic and an ecologic view. A different significance of the chosen criteria reflected these two different approaches to the choice of the most convenient type of farm. Budějovice, Faculty of Agriculture into practice Abstract: The article analyses the possibilities of forecasting the successfulness of students of the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Agriculture looking for jobs. Different profiles of them are treated. The statistical survey covered 127 enterprises. Limited chances of getting jobs were found in small and middle sized firms. There is a considerable probability in getting jobs in great institutions and their departments and divisions, especially in financial, commercial and marketing activities. The probability of getting jobs in banking, insurance and logistics is not so significant. An important role in the students qualification plays the knowledge of languages, especially of the English one. Computer programming and communicating is the next mostly demanded ability. From the behavioural aspects the decision making and solving problems abilities are appreciated. As an integral part of the further education postgraduate studies are supposed, partly abroad.
