The article describes the possibilities and the state of cooperation in education. The most of the contacts between educational organizations 58% were established between 1990 - 1993. It is usually a long-termed cooperation (79%). The initiative in the contact development was made in 47% from the Czech side, in 38% from partner schools. The greatest problem with the cooperation is presented by financial reasons, which influence also the satisfaction and dissatisfaction with its level. The situation in the using of means from the Fond of small projects should improve, 55% of respondents didn't use this possibility. This article analyses the changes in the territorial structure and the goods composition of the foreign trade of the Czech Republic at the beginning and in the end of the transformation. Although the Czech Republic is nowadays preparing for its EU-entry in the sphere of the foreign trade it entered the structures of the EU and the member states became in such a short period of time like the last decade of the twentieth century main partners of the Czech Republic in the sphere of the foreign trade. The endangered groups of people are women, people with low qualification and the young people including the graduates from secondary schools and universities. The situation in the South-Bohemian Region is in comparison with the whole Czech Republic more convenient. One of the reasons is also the better opportunity to work in the cross-country regions in Austria. The Czech citizens use this opportunity not only for the financial reasons (although these reasons are the most evident) but also for the reason of getting new experience. From the Austrian side the influx of foreign workers from one point of view is convenient (cheap labour force, seasonal labour in agriculture and forestry), but from the other point of view there is fear from raised competition and mainly after the entrance of the Czech Republic to the EU.
